Map Telecom Conference – 27 October 2005 – Monaco
Map Telecom organized a conference to promote the VoiceXML standard last 27 October 2005 in Monaco on the following subject : « VoiceXML and Multimedia Services – Presentation and Case Studies ». Map Telecom conference has welcomed about 30 companies coming from telecom sector but also some banks, hotels and big companies.
During the first part of the conference Dr Michaela Heigl, Map Telecom Chief Commercial Officer, has presented the VoiceXML standard and exposed the advantages for companies which are willing to develope or use an IVR application.
During the Second part of the conference, Map Telecom partners presented 4 applications which are using VoiceXML standard:

The application is offering an architecture to integrate any content for a IVR application.
Voice Driven Communication : application Hotelofon
This is a hotel reservation service that allow to the user to know the hotel avaibilities and to make directly its reservation with the reception desk
MCTEL, application SMS fixed SMSC,
This is a service that translate an SMS in a vocal message
SSV : application Credit Card Watch,
This is a service for fighting to the credit card fraud as the user receives a SMS, an email or a fax each time its credit card has been debited specifying the amount and the location of the purchase. |
